Harvey
March 28-April 7, 2013
Since 1944, this Pulitzer prize winning play by Mary Chase has been winning over generations of Theatre goers. Both hilarious and charming this play is beloved by anyone who can recall the classic Jimmy Stewart movie. Elwood P Dowd is one of the most memorable comic figures ever, and audiences respond to his underlying message of friendship, simple decency and kindness.
“Years ago my mother used to say to me, she’d say, ‘Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.’ Well for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.”
