Sarasota, February 6, 2013 –The Players Theatre is thrilled to announce that Venice Mayor John Holic has been selected as the winner of The Players “Best Boss” competition. The compelling entry highlighted how Mayor Holic manages to effectively and efficiently work on a shoestring budget, cares personally about his staff, and has an exceptional work ethic.
Coming in at a very close second place was Laurie Evans from University Park Country Club, who actually received two separate nominations. Both entries raved about how Evans leads by example (even pulling weeds out of the garden), is a great listener, and has integrity.
Placing third was Sheri DiBello, owner of the Good As New Consignment and Bridal Shoppe. DiBello recently took the business back over running it with “heart”, while creating a family like atmosphere where everyone feels appreciated.
Other nominees included: Jim Shirley, Arts Alliance of Sarasota; Julie & Ron Milton, owners of Scene Magazine; Karen Bolinder, UPA Unisource Program Administrators; Pinal & Kanal Shah, owners of University Pharmacy; and Angela Kaleskas, Lakewood Ranch Information Center.
The top entry will receive tickets for the “Best Boss” and the entire office to attend the preview night performance on February 13, 2013 at 7:30pm. Additionally, the staff of The Players was so impressed by all of the entries for the competition that they have decided to award each “GOOD BOSS” with two tickets to personally see the “BAD BOSS” on the same evening.
