Hurricane Ian updates

We wanted to share that The Players Centre and Studio are back open!  

On tickets to upcoming shows

  • If you have tickets for “Little Shop of Horrors” or “If I Can Dream” the Box Office will reach out with our updated schedule of shows and options to move your tickets to a different date. We will do our best to get you the perfect seats and performances. 
  • “Little Shop of Horrors” will run from Oct. 12 through 16, you can buy tickets online, or call the box office to exchange your tickets. 
  • “If I Can Dream” will be rescheduled for a later date. 
  • If you have any specific questions about your tickets please email brennag@theplayers.org

On Players Studio Classes

  • Classes are back in session! 
  • If you or your student will not be attending classes due to hurricane complications please let us know. We’d love to help. 
  • The Players Studio (1400 Blvd of the Arts, Suite 200, Sarasota, FL 34236) suffered some water leakage. This has been cleaned up and power has been restored.

ON THE PLAYERS SHOP

The business next to our shop location suffered severe damage during Hurricane Ian, greatly impacting our shop where we house props, set pieces and costumes. The staff and board of The Players gathered on Saturday to assess and clean the shop in an attempt to salvage as many costumes as we could. Many pieces were thrown away or damaged. This work continues as our roof was damaged in the storm as well. 

Work continues at the shop as we prepare for our upcoming shows!
