Performed by our talented High School Players Studio actors. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, School Edition is a dark, dramatic musical by Stephen Sondheim. It tells the tale of Sweeney Todd, a barber who returns to London seeking revenge on the corrupt Judge Turpin, who wrongfully imprisoned him and destroyed his family. With the help of Mrs. Lovett, who runs a failing pie shop, Todd sets up a barber shop where he exacts his vengeance on unsuspecting customers. Mrs. Lovett, in turn, uses the bodies to create meat pies that become popular among Londoners.

The musical is filled with suspense, dark humor, and complex themes of revenge, justice, and morality, all underscored by Sondheim’s powerful score.
