The Players Studio invites you to audition for our Broadway Competition Team– a dynamic group designed to empower aspiring talents and set them on a path to becoming better well rounded performers with the potential for a career in performing arts.

AGES 11-18

We are ecstatic to announce that The Players Studio will be attending the Junior Theater Festival again in January 2027!  This group will perform a 15-minute cut of Godpsell Jr production at the Festival!

The Junior Theater Festival (JTF) is the premier platform for young musical theater enthusiasts to display their talents. Imagine an action-packed weekend where student groups from across the globe come together to celebrate the art of musical theater. Each team performs a dynamic 15-minute segment from a Broadway Junior® production and receives constructive feedback from a panel of musical theater professionals. The festival also includes workshops for students, parents, and educators, previews of upcoming musicals, and culminates in a dazzling concert featuring top Broadway performers.

Rehearsals:

 

Auditions: Sunday Aug 30th 10-12:00pm
Music Intensive: Mon Aug 31 , Tues Sept 1 and Wed Sept3 @ 6:30-8:30,  Sat Sept 5 9-11:30am Sun Sept 6 10-12:00pm
Regular Rehearsals: Sundays 10am-1:00pm Additional Monday Rehearsals closer to JTF dates

Includes:
– Materials and licensing fees in house production
– Show Shirt
Bracelets for trading with other schools at JTF.

 COSTS
  • Tickets: $450/person (parents attending and watching performance need to purchase a ticket)
  • Registration: $100.00
  • Tuition: $600/Student (Covers Licensing, t-shirts, bracelets, Director, MD)
Additional Costs
  • Hotel: $140/room/Night
  • Flights: $300-$400
  • Transportation: About $100/person
 
Payments:
  • $450/person due at time of enrollment for ticket purchase. PARENTS ATTENDING MUST ALSO ENROLL! 
  • Hotel Payment Due September 15 
  • $100 transportation fee Due January 1, 2027
  • $600 tuition Due by January 1, 2027
  • Additional costs not included: food, merch, personal supplies

Commitment to team:
 
Once cast, students are required to attend rehearsals and to rehearse at home. This group is a commitment and requires students to dedicate time to create a cohesive team. Constant missing of rehearsals, behavioral issues may result in removal of role/from the show. This is also a financial commitment, and once the initial payments are received we will be purchasing tickets and they are non-refundable. Plane tickets, travel costs, food, and hotel will also be additional costs. 
 
Auditions:
  • First Day: Sunday Aug 30
  • Prepare: one song from the show…TBD
  • Dress: Please dress ready to dance and move. Wear appropriate dance shoes and clothing.
