Position Title: Box Office Associate (part-time)

Reports to: Box Office Manager

Position Summary:

This position requires hands-on Box Office duties including providing the highest levels of customer service in person and on the phone, transacting ticket purchases and exchanges, conducting maintenance of patron records, running reports, handling private information appropriately, assisting with Front of House set up, cleanliness of Box Office, etc.

Qualifications & Skills:

· High school diploma.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related customer service position.

· Strong customer service skills, suggestive selling, up selling, and ability to increase box office sales through listening and quality customer service.

· Ability to problem solve and professionally address challenges, problems, unhappy patrons, and other issues in the moment.

· Leadership skills necessary to direct, recruit and train others – Box Office and potentially, ushers

· Ability to complete multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.

· Strong organizational skills with computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and database management. Theater Manager (current CRM) database training provided but must possess ability to learn programs quickly.

· Diplomatic, tactful, and customer-focused, with professional phone manner, comfortable speaking to groups and ability to interact with staff, patrons, volunteers, and new clients.

· Must project a professional and positive image and be able to take direction and fulfill responsibilities under stress or pressure, with minimal direct supervision.

· Can accommodate a flexible schedule, including ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

Hours: Up to 30 hours per week


Schedule varies depending upon the weekly Box Office needs.
