the players centre thanks the Kiwanis Club of Sarasota

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Kiwanis Club of Sarasota, The Players Centre for Performing Arts received a $3,500 grant from the Sarasota Kiwanis Foundation in full support of their Building Better Grownups scholarship. This scholarship creates opportunities for disadvantaged youth age 3 -17 to experience the personal and creative development that comes from theatre arts education. The grant will be used to award scholarships to low-income families during the school year.

“As a 93 year old organization, we appreciation the mission and generosity of the Kiwanis Club of Sarasota and the Sarasota Kiwanis Foundation in celebrating their centennial by giving full support of our Building Better Grownups scholarship program. Our motto is that ‘no child is turned away for their inability to pay’ and with this grant, we can uphold that belief and offer local youth a life changing performing arts experience.”
