Four girls meet to prepare for The Gender Wars, an annual tradition at their high school that pits junior boys and girls against each other in friendly competition. Eager to win (and become only the 13th ever and first time back-to-back female champions), the girls create a daily study plan. However, studying quickly turns into a battle of identity and learning about character, as well as how quickly things can change in the storms of life.

An ambitious college student accepts an older man’s offer to finance his play, but as their relationship deepens, desire and control blur into one, pushing him to question how much of himself he’ll surrender in the search for connection.

Wednesday, August 5 – Swamp City Boxing by Douglas Gearhart
A major hurricane is creeping towards Swamp City Boxing Gym, where kids dream of being champions and coaches have formed a family-like bond. Big Mike runs the gym but he is in the final rounds of his life and believes it might be time to shut down, while his son Chaz is haunted by his past crimes and addiction. As the storm approaches the gym members come to terms with losing their refuge from the divisive forces of the outside world.
