The Sarasota Players have one more gift in store for 2023. Tis the season, we have taken to a time-honored TV tradition this year… a holiday special. For our final production before the new year, The Players Studio proudly presents our very own Holiday Special!

At our intimate Block Box theatre nestled on the Boulevard of the Arts, a delightfully quirky production celebrating this time of year will be performed before heading into the holidays. The Players Studio staff joined creative forces to craft this fun original musical, and the performers are students and community members. 

Audiences will be taken on a journey into TV Land. Mrs. Crenshaw is throwing a party, but with unapproved guests, and unapproved foods, and Mr. Crenshaw nowhere to be found; she is taken on a journey to find the true meaning of the holidays as her guests celebrate their own traditions – even if they’re not on the approved list. The cast will sing and dance their way through your favorite holiday tunes, and maybe some new ones to add to your playlist.

The Players Studio’s performances of our Holiday Special begin Tuesday, December 19th, with showings through Thursday, December 21st. We hope to see you there and partaking in the holiday cheer! From The Sarasota Players to you, have a very merry, safe, and healthy holiday!
